Higher Ed + Civic Ed
An educated citizenry is the foundation of a healthy democracy. The Institute for the American Constitutional Heritage at the University of Oklahoma was founded in the belief that universities have great potential to promote civic education. Freedom.ou.edu was created in the belief that the internet can amplify the impact of traditional educational resources. We invite you – students, alumni, faculty, and friends – to think of freedom.ou.edu as a sort of extended campus, a place where the intellectual vitality and rules of civility which characterize the brick-and-mortar campus come to the internet.
